Plum Guide

Created listings for Plum Guide, which handpicks ‘the world’s most remarkable homes’. I developed names, selected imagery and wrote descriptions that immersed potential guests in a sense of place. Here’s an example.

The challenge
Travellers often compare dozens of similar properties before making a booking. Each listing needed to communicate a home's unique appeal quickly, while also capturing the character of its location and inspiring confidence that guests had found the right place.

My role
I named each property, curated the supporting imagery and wrote listing copy designed to showcase its distinctive personality and appeal to the right audience.

My approach
Rather than simply listing features, I focused on creating a sense of place. I researched the local area to uncover the kinds of experiences a guest might genuinely enjoy—whether that was a hidden swimming spot, a favourite neighbourhood café or an early morning walk along the coast—and wove those details naturally into the copy.

The aim was to make the descriptions feel knowledgeable and authentic, as though they had been written by someone who knew the destination well. Combined with carefully selected imagery, the copy invited readers to imagine themselves there, shifting the focus from what the property had to what staying there would feel like.

Outcome
Produced engaging listings that gave each property a distinctive identity and a richer narrative, helping travellers picture the experience before they booked.
